The Value of an eProposal
If you haven’t written a proposal before, this post may not connect with you as much as a seasoned proposal writing professional. Having written hundreds and maybe thousands of proposals in over 10 years of consulting and business development I’ve asked many of the questions that you’ve probably had. Questions like…
- What order should I put this content in? Should I put the pricing first, last or in the middle?
- How many references should I put on the references page? and where should I put that?
- Do clients actually read my portfolio examples or case studies?
There are many other questions I always ask myself while attempting to create a lengthy masterpiece in typically a less than ideal timeframe. I used to always ask myself, how do we find out these answers? I guess I’ve always been a “there has to be a better way” guy. The great thing is, there is now. Having the ability to view what pages your prospect has read and knowing when your proposal was opened and read are just two key metrics that are changing the way proposals are written. Other statistics that are bringing new light to proposal writing are.
- most viewed pages
- average time pages viewed
- value of active proposals
- Number of times document viewed
Technology is continuing to make measuring the results of your proposals more easy, allowing us to constantly get better.
